What is the Tarragona Fireworks Contest?
It's the most renowned international pyrotechnics competition in Catalonia. Every summer, four pyrotechnic companies from different countries compete for the prize, launching their displays from Punta del Miracle, on Tarragona's Mediterranean Balcony, over four consecutive nights at 22:30.
A specialised jury evaluates the technique, rhythm and composition of each show. The winning company takes the prize and, above all, the honour of running the closing display at Santa Tecla in September — the city's biggest festival. That's why every night is full effort: there's no "headline night", each company gives its all from the very first shot.

How the trip works

20:00 · Boarding in Salou
Arrive at Salou marina 15 min early. We welcome you on the pontoon.

20:00–21:30 · Sunset cruise to Tarragona
Calm sail along the coast to Cap de Tarragona. Music on board and complimentary drink.

21:30–22:25 · Anchorage off Punta del Miracle
We drop anchor 200 m from the launch zone. Time for snacks and atmosphere.

22:30–23:00 · Fireworks display
You watch the international pyrotechnics with a front-row, unobstructed view. After, a calm return to Salou.
