What are the Nits Daurades?
The Nits Daurades are Salou's main summer festival: fifteen nights of music, shows, processions and folk culture along the seafront, from 1 to 15 August. They draw thousands of locals and tourists every year.
The highlight comes on 15 August, the Feast of the Assumption, with a procession through the town and, above all, the Grand Fireworks Castle at 22:45, launched from Llevant Beach. It's the largest fireworks show in Salou all year — and it lasts over 20 minutes.
This is the event that draws the biggest crowd of the entire summer on the beach and promenade. That's why from the sea it's a completely different experience: clean front-row view, no one in the way, fireworks reflected on the water.
