Wreckfish
The top prize of the deep sea. The Mediterranean stone bass can reach up to 50 kg. Exceptional flesh.
John Dory
A deep-water fish highly prized at the table. Regular catches over shipwrecks.
Greater forkbeard
A deep-water species in strong demand. Up to 5 kg, mild flavour and firm flesh.
Red scorpionfish
A rock-dwelling fish, the bright-red scorpionfish, up to 4 kg. The star of Basque cuisine.
Conger eel
Occasional catches of large specimens (10–30 kg). An intense fight all the way to the boat.
Common pandora & red seabream
Frequent catches on rocky bottoms. A range of sizes and excellent eating.
How your deep-sea day unfolds
A technical trip with very productive results thanks to the electric reels.
Salou Marina
Arrival at the marina. Boarding, technical briefing on the electric reels and rigs.
Heading to the marks
30–60 min sailing to the deep-sea grounds: well-known shipwrecks and seamounts.
Dropping the lines
We send the lines down with a heavy sinker to 200–500 m. The electric reels lower them automatically.
Fishing and bites
We watch for bites on the reel screen. When something hits, the reel retrieves the line automatically.
Changing marks
If a mark isn't producing, the skipper moves the boat to another wreck or known area.
Back to harbour
Return sail with your catch. Cleaning the boat down and saying our goodbyes.
