A private route that brings together the best of the Costa Dorada: Cala Mora, with clear waters and a relaxed atmosphere, and the silhouette of Tamarit Castle, a 12th-century medieval fortress overlooking the Mediterranean from the top of its headland.
The castle, in private ownership, doesn't allow landings — but seeing it from the water is the only way to truly appreciate its dramatic clifftop setting. A full day with plenty of time for swimming, photos and paddle boarding.
What we're going to see
The skipper adjusts the pace to suit the group and the sea conditions.
Salou Marina
Departure at 10:00 from the marina. Briefing, boarding and the start of the sailing on a northbound course.
Cape Salou
We round Cape Salou, passing in front of some of the prettiest coves (Penya Tallada, Cala Vinya) at a relaxed sailing pace.
Cala Crancs
An optional stop at this iconic cove with its famous pine tree overhanging the water. A great spot for an early swim.
Cala Mora
We drop anchor at Cala Mora — clear waters and a more relaxed atmosphere than the tourist coves. Time for swimming, snorkelling and paddle boarding.
Tamarit Castle
The main event. A 12th-century medieval fortress on a headland above the sea, surrounded by pine trees with a Romanesque church attached. We anchor nearby for spectacular photos and one last swim before heading back.
